This survey is open to everyone — whether or not you’re a veteran or have a disability. To understand the full picture of disabled veteran employment experiences, we need perspectives from people both inside and outside these communities. 

Your participation in Disability:IN's Pathfinder Project research study is entirely voluntary. You may decline to participate, skip questions (other than the basic eligibility questions on this page), or withdraw from the study at any time without penalty. If you choose to withdraw, your data will be deleted and will not be used in the study. 

All data collected during this study will be kept strictly confidential by Disability:IN. Further, personally identifiable information collected by Disability:IN will be subject to our privacy policy, see below. No publications resulting from this study will contain information that could be used to identify you. 

There are no direct benefits to you for participating in this study. However, findings from this study may inform future business practices and policies that support veterans and people with disabilities at work.

Disability:IN Privacy Policy

Disability:IN (“Disability:IN”, “we” or “us”) takes the privacy of the study participant’s (“Your”) personal data very seriously. To demonstrate our commitment to the privacy of Your personal data, we have developed this policy, which discloses our privacy practices for the personal data we collect. It is understood that any personal data provided by You will be processed to allow You to participate in this study, including through the sharing of necessary information from us, and with others, as described below.

The entity that processes personal data as controller for the purposes described herein is Disability:IN®, a non-profit organization, at 3000 Potomac Avenue, Alexandria, VA 22305 (United States of America).

Disability:IN processes the provided information of study participants, which may include, at least, military service information, service connected disability status, and disability status unconnected to military service.  

Disability:IN will only process and use Your information for study purposes, as described, herein. Disability:IN views it as our legitimate interest to process such information as it allows us to facilitate Your participation in the study of which you have consented to be a part. 

If at any point Disability:IN decided to use the information You provided by signing up to participate in the study in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, Disability:IN will send an email notifying You of such changes and offering You the option to allow or not allow us to use the information in the different way. Without such consent, Disability:IN will use information in accordance with the Privacy Policy in effect at the time the information was collected. 

In order to determine which individuals at Disability:IN will have access to personal data, the need-to-know principle will be applied. In particular, the personal data collected via the study on-line forms will only be processed by the members of the team who are responsible for the study and related responsibilities.

The data collected from the on-line forms for the study are supported by Form Assembly and are housed completely at Form Assembly data centers and managed and maintained by Disability:IN. 

As Disability:IN, and Form Assembly are located in the United States of America, all personal data that are provided in the context of the study necessarily will be processed in the United States of America. 

Personal data will not be stored longer than required for the purpose for which it was collected.

Disability:IN will never share Your information without Your express consent. You control any information we may share with third parties, beyond those already identified and approved, herein, by opting-in as a study participant.

Disability:IN will employ substantially similar protections to protect unauthorized disclosure of any information that it uses to protect its own information. 

In line with and subject to the conditions set forth in the applicable data protection legislation, anyone whose personal data is processed by Disability:IN, as described herein, has the right to request of Disability:IN access to and rectification or erasure of their personal data or restriction of processing concerning themselves, or to object to processing or, if applicable, to withdraw their consent, as well as the right to data portability. If you believe that your rights have been infringed as a result of the processing of your personal data, you can lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
