Application Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be currently certified as a DOBE, SDV-DOBE, or V-DOBE and be in good standing.

Applicants must be available to deliver their pitch via Zoom on Wednesday, June 17, from 1:45 - 3:00 PM Eastern during the Semi-Finals.

If selected, finalists must be able to attend (in-person) the 2026 Disability:IN Global Conference in Dallas, TX, taking place July 27 - 30.

Applicants must agree to Disability:IN’s use and distribution of your name, likeness, image, voice, comments and/or appearance in any media, without compensation, for purposes consistent with the mission of Disability:IN.

Applicants must agree to Terms and Conditions of the DOBE Pitch Perfect Challenge.

Finalists from 2022-2025 are not eligible to compete again this year.

Your 60 second video should include the following components:

Personal Introduction: Your name, role at your company, pronouns. (Suggested script: "Hi everyone! My name is Addie and my pronouns are she/her. I am the CEO at Dust Bunnies Cleaning Company.")

Company Introduction: Share a 1-2 sentence summary of your company's mission and product/service with a clear value proposition.

Video Recording Guidelines:

Record using a smartphone in portrait/selfie mode (9:16)
No professional equipment or crew is required; this should be a simple, low-production video
Use good natural lighting and a front-facing camera
Recommended length is 60 seconds or less
It is okay to go slightly over 60 seconds, though viewer engagement may drop after that point

Application to the Pitch Perfect Challenge is voluntary and acceptance into and participation in it, including but not limited to, as a finalist is not guaranteed. Also, being accepted into the program and provided an opportunity as finalist to make a pitch is not guaranteed any particular outcome. Further, in consideration for the opportunity to apply to and possibly participate in Disability:IN's Pitch Perfect Challenge, I release from all liability, and waive my right to sue Disability:IN, its employees, officers, volunteers, and agents (collectively "Disability:IN") from any and all claims which may arise from application to the Pitch Perfect Challenge and its outcomes or activities incidental thereto.
